After working at Skechers as a Sales Associate for two years, I was then promoted to the role of Supervisor. This role progression provided me with many vital, transferable skills that have aided me to improve my confidence, communication and knowledge whilst working in a successful, large-scale company

The experience at Skechers has helped me gain valuable knowledge about how a large-scale business is handled such as:

  • Processing deliveries and inventory
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as conversion (monitoring footfall), leverage and units per transaction.
  • Recording and inputting store data in an excel program and informing senior management about store progress via email format
  • Achieving productive customer service through motivating and supporting colleges within the store.
  • Ensuring store security and image is maintained with set up and close down, including cash handling and maintain safety precautions are in place

This experience was very valuable as it helped me to gain skills such as; patients, team work and resilience. This also enabled me to be efficient and use my initiative to adapt and coordinate to specific children needs and preferences.
