During my employment at Winstone Wallboards I was trained to represent the company as a health and safety officer in ensuring the EHS requirements were met and adhered to at the highest standards. I was also trained as a fire warden, first aid and certified raw material handler. I have licences as an operator of fork hoists and heavy mobile machinery which was all part and parcel of the production line at WWB. All the above was acquired during my 17 years of employment at WWB.
Shift work was a requirement at Winstone Wallboards and production operated 24/7. During my time at WWB I worked on the ground floor with my team in inspiring them to achieve the best production results possible. It was done with minimal effort. I engaged with management at the highest level often to discuss and implement health and safety systems and also to celebrate our success.
Winstone Wallboards has closed their operation in Auckland and relocated to Tauranga. Due to family commitment's I, unfortunately was not able to transition with the company.
Prior to my employment at WWB I was a sales rep in the supermarket and grocery trade. My role was to introduce and establish product for various companies.
Initially growing up with a sheep and cattle farming family I then pursued working in an Auckland engineering company as a fitter welder. Eventually, I worked in management in the seafood industry processing live product for export and the retail market.
