At BestStart, I leveraged my expertise in demostaring manaakitanga and ako to foster a nurturing and inclusive environment, enhancing emotional well-being and growth among tamariki. By implementing individualized learning plans and adapting teaching strategies, I significantly contributed to the development of a supportive and collaborative learning atmosphere, demonstrating strong communication and problem-solving skills.
I have had many opportunities to develop professionally as a teaching this includes, leading team meetings, group planning, organising special events, developing a centre specific Pacific action plan and working with many different specialist to support tamariki. I have a strong passion for bicultural teaching and learning that is inspired by mātauranga Māori.
