Judy Chen

I am a construction professional with 12 years of experience in construction budgeting and cost estimation in China. Recognized for my excellent coordination, communication, planning, and control abilities, I am a committed team player who demonstrates a proactive, meticulous, and responsible approach to all tasks.

I will graduate in June with a diploma in Construction Project Management from the Unitec Institute of Technology, where I learned to manage cost, quality, resources, and risks, and became proficient in Microsoft Project, Cost X, and BIM. During a summer internship at a construction company, I strengthened relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, enhanced my understanding of building contracts, and supported the implementation of health and safety practices on-site.

I am dedicated to continuously learning and growing within the field of construction to enhance my skills. I conduct regular site inspections to enforce compliance with health and safety regulations and identify and address potential risks and obstacles that may impact project timelines or costs. I can undertake tendering and estimation by completing take-off of quantities and applying rates for relevant trades, finalizing and submitting tenders. I maintain accurate project documentation, including budgets, schedules, and progress updates, and create and monitor project-specific budgets, monitoring site progress and making monthly claims accordingly. Hope my effective management, planning, implementation ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and without compromising quality or safety.
