With a broad knowledge of art contexts and strong technical ability, my expertise lies within the field of Painting. I excel in the relational role of being a teacher, utilizing my strong interpersonal skills. Drawing from my previous experience in youth mentoring and caregiving for IHC, I approach teaching with empathy and intuition, tailoring my approach to meet each student's unique needs in a personal and reflective manner. I believe that visual arts not only fosters critical thinking but also enhances hauora and mental health, providing students with a sense of security in their identity. Embracing the opportunity to teach a diverse range of students with various cultural backgrounds, I am committed to upholding Mātauranga Māori and incorporating Te reo Māori into my pedagogy.
