  • As a community and church member, I serve as the 'go-to' person for writing application letters for employment, formal correspondence to banks, government ministries, and relevant authorities.
  • When needed or requested, I continue the work (Native Title Consultant) of my late father assisting land owning units in community or tribe building through the wise stewardship of their resources and the investment of profits in companies and shares or concerns with regards to their indigenous rights.

Accomplishments

Accomplishments
  • In February 2015, I successfully assisted the Coral Coast Tourism & Catering Workers Union office bearers and Consultant in operating an office and expanding its membership following the passing of its founder and first General Secretary in April 2014. However, after I joined my previous employer(FCEF) full-time in 2019, the union started loosing its membership and ceased operations thereafter.
  • Have been assisting the lead advocate and committee members for Employers at the Employment Relations Advisory Board (ERAB), National Employment Centre Board, and National Occupational Health Service Advisory Board since 2019. I have been instrumental in taking minutes and providing logistical support to the Employers' representative in the review of the Fiji Employment Relations Act 2007, which is scheduled to be passed in Parliament before the end of the year. Have been part of the review since 2019.
  • I assisted in preparing a contingency plan that successfully contained a planned industrial action at Pangea Gold Mining Ltd in Vatukoula, Fiji on 1/05/2023. Despite the strike by union members, business continued as usual.
  • I assumed the role of head of the Industrial Relations Department after our IR Consultant resigned in July 2023. I successfully trained our Office Cleaner to also fulfill the duties of an Industrial Relations Assistant. Since my resignation in December 2023, he has taken over my responsibilities.
