  • Maintaining Sterility—Sterility is crucial during operations As circulating nurses and scrub nurses, we need to keep all instruments sterile during the procedure by using aseptic techniques When opening sterile instruments as a circulating nurse, I look at the package, ensuring there are no holes I check the tag to make sure the instrument or set is not expired, and finally, I check the indicator to see if it was sterilized properly
