I’m currently contract milking on a 260 cow dairy farm.
So I’m in charge of everything that happens and have 2 part time staff members.
Here I was working as a Personal training running my own Business.
I also worked 50% for the gym helping other trainers get more clients and organizing training schedules and finding replacements when coaches were sick.
But after I while I gave that up and just focused on my own business.
I kind of reached a point where I couldn’t train anymore clients because I was to full so I started training them online also.
Because online I could have unlimited clients, I still train clients online to this day.
I worked for SATS which is a big franchise gym in Sweden.I was a Personal Trainer and did classes.
Here I worked as a security guard at a pub.
They hired me because of my military back ground and I had pretty good training with various martial arts.
I worked here for about 6 months but left because I got tired of kicking out drunk people and working late nights.
I ended up in Spain after I got discharged from the military and didn’t really know what to do.
I ended up working in an Irish bar as a bartender.
I also sold tickets to nightclubs on the street as a promoter.
Approaching strangers to sell tickets too on the street really helped build up my confidence and my sales game.
This was a job I really loved.
I had to get ankle reconstruction so I got medically discharged.
Discipline and hardwork was what I learned here.
This was my first job as a PT.
I soon discovered that personal Training was nothing to do with Training people and everything to do with sales. Unfortunately I didn’t last long, I was Terrible at sales and too lazy.
I drove tractors for the English summer. It was a fun job, the hours were long and pay was terrible but it was a good experience and I enjoyed it.
This was my second farm job.
It started off in Matamata for a season and then the boss was moving to the South Island and asked if I wanted to come.
So I packed my bags and off I went.
It was a 1000 cow new conversion.
It was a good experience but I decided after 2 sessions on the conversion that I had had enough off Dairy farming and I wanted to do something else.
This was my first farm job.I had no responsibilities and was just there to help milk and do other job.I still lived at home and traveled to work each day.

My name is Mark Hamilton. I’m 34 years old and have recently moved back to New Zealand after living overseas for the past 15 years – 10 years in Sweden, time in Spain before that, and earlier in England. I grew up on a dairy farm in Paeroa, where I was driving tractors and milking cows before I was even 10 years old. Farming gave me my work ethic, discipline, and an appreciation for the land.
Throughout my career I’ve done a wide range of jobs – from farming and security to serving in the British Army, and most recently working as a personal trainer in Sweden. What I discovered during my years as a trainer is that what I really loved wasn’t just training people – it was sales. Closing a deal gave me an adrenaline rush, and I thrived on the challenge.
That’s what has led me to real estate. With my farming background, I know I’d especially love working in rural property and farm sales. I want a career where the harder I work, the more I can achieve – and real estate is exactly that. I believe hard work beats talent, and I’m ready to put everything I’ve learned into building a successful career in real estate
