I worked all sections of the cafe throughout my year of employment. Starting with a casual position of FOH, getting on the coffee machine. Six moths later I got offered the role of assistant chef and working full time. This role majorly enhanced my skills in organisation, time management and efficiency.

• Cross-trained in all sections, barista, FOH, dishy, assistant chef/baker
• Awareness of who needs assistance on busy days (weekend days) spreading myself out among all sections and staff to help get customers orders out efficiently.
• Handled high pressure situations calmly. Also checking up on other staff during those peak times.
• Managing staff when the boss isn't there and making sure everyone is having their breaks and well-being is good.
• Maintained clean and organized café environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

This role involved providing care for a 12 year old girl and a 1 year old baby girl. Mondays consist of looking after the one year old. Feeding, bathing, playing and putting to bed.

12 year old care consisted of collecting her from school and taking her too after school activities, encouraging her to take part in those activities and leading by example.

• Would do other babysitting for families in the area. (weekend night times)

Majority of shifts I would be independently running the store. Key holder, opening and closing solo. When in busy seasons I worked with the owners.

Two sections of the shop included groceries, fruit and veges. Food section that provides real fruit ice-cream, smoothies, fresh juices, milkshakes.

• Managing both sides of the shop at once, being aware of separate lines for ice-creams and groceries. Real fruit ice-creams very popular!
• Replenishing shelves, keeping shelves tidy, well organised, making all displays look appealing to customers.
• Conducted regular quality control checks to maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations.
• Checking existing stock and stock deliveries thoroughly. Organising and rotating new and old stock.
• General cleanliness of the shop, sweeping, wiping surface, mopping. Cleaning ice-cream machine, juicer etc
• Customer service skills, active listening, problem solving, patient and always a positive interaction.
• Collected payments by cash, bank transfer, debit or credit card and used POS to process transaction.
• Painting signs for new weekly deals.
