Samantha Smith

I am an enthusiastic person, offering in-depth understanding of the importance of communicating and working with others in a team environment. I am very ambitious and focused as a result of being determined to meet my goals. I am very outgoing, bubbly and confident which helps me to offer customers in my workplace a very positive experience. My goal is to approach all situations with a positive mindset and my best effort.

• Otago University Rowing - I have participated in two University Rowing seasons where I was fortunate to attend one National University Rowing Championships in that time.
• Otago University Hockey - Throughout my time at University I have completed 2 full seasons of Hockey during the Winter months.
• Spirit of Adventure - I took part in a 10-day voyage on the Spirit of Adventure in May 2019. This challenged me both mentally and physically with different tasks and activities presented.
• Epsom Rowing - I was an active member of Epsom Rowing throughout high school for three seasons and have now returned to the squad to coach.
• Epsom Hockey - I played hockey during high school where I captained my team for two seasons consecutively.
• Outreach Volunteer Group - in this group we volunteered at Eat My Lunch, Ronald McDonald House and fundraised for Cystic Fibrosis.

• Rower of the year 2020 - I was selected as Epsom' Girls' Grammar Rower of the Year at the end of my 2020 Rowing Season.
• Maadi Cup Selection - I was selected for Maadi Cup (Rowing Nationals) in 2018, 2019 and 2020 (prior to the event's cancellation due to COVID-19).
• Peer Support Leader - throughout the beginning two terms of Year 13 I was a Peer Support Leader at school where I helped year nine students settle into high school by providing support and a welcoming environment.
