Responsibilities included:

• Manage all aspects of operating a dairy farm
• Employ and manage 2 full time staff plus a calf rearer and relief milker
• Liaise with dairy operations manager
• Manage the farm and staff in accordance with health and safety protocols
• Keep accurate herd and farm records and enter into Minda and Farmsource apps

• 140 Hectares milking 440 cows split calving as a system 3-4 farm

Responsibilities included:

• Manage daily feeding requirements of herds
• Manage cowshed hygiene and records
• Milk cows and treat lame or sick cows
• Shift and maintain traveling effluent irrigator
• Operate all farm machinery
• Carry out farm maintenance

• 400 Hectare dry-land support farm for two dairy farms
• 600 R1/R2 heifers and 100 beef cattle
• Winter grazing of 1300 cows

Responsibilities included:

• Assist owner in grazing management of all stock
• Assist owner in implementing mating/animal health plan of all stock
• Assist owner in installing new fencing and water reticulation system
• Carry out farm maintenance
• Apply fertiliser to pastures/crops on support farm
• Cultivate and drill various pastures/crops on all farms owned by Raumea Farms Limited

Responsibilities included:

• On farm sales of Waikato Milking Systems products, services and parts in the mid/south canterbury region
• Maintain spare parts levels in customers cowsheds to keep them operating smoothly
• First point of contact for any repairs or maintenance requirements
• Troubleshoot/diagnose any issues and rectify if possible before passing onto the service department
• Assist technicians in a range of jobs

• 350 Hectares milking 1040 cows OAD operating as a system 2 farm
• 40 ashb cowshed
• Gun and K-line irrigation with a 70ha dry-land block
• Production: Best achievement of 340,000 milk solids

Responsibilities included:

• Manage operation of dairy farm
• Follow farm plan in agreement with owner
• Manage 4 full time employees and 1 Casual employee
• Manage feed budgeting and grazing of herds including completing farm walks
• Milk cows and treat sick or lame cows
• Implement calving and mating plan
• Initiate health and safety procedures
• Complete herd records, and staff rosters
• Enter fertiliser and irrigation orders
• Use technology apps and microsoft office
• Operate and manage servicing of machinery
• Manage irrigation systems
• Carry out farm maintenance

• 216 Hectares milking 850 cows as a system 3 farm that was part of a larger 800 hectare 3000 cow operation
• 60-bail rotary cowshed with acrs, protrack, in shed feeding
• Pivot irrigation with one roto-rainer and k-lines in corners
