Summary

I have recently completed studies at the New Zealand Institute of Health and Fitness (NZIHF) and am currently seeking employment. I am a Passionate Personal Fitness Trainer who is successful at making workouts fun and rewarding. Expertise in instructing clients on proper lifting techniques and educating clients on nutrition and hydration needs. Experience providing instruction for one-on-one sessions, buddy sessions, and group training classes. Confidently present myself to be motivated, work and passion-driven, positive, and energetic, and never fold under the pressure of new challenges. A people person who enjoys meeting new faces and finds myself to be someone who loves to interact with the community to build strong and healthy relationships to help better myself, the client, and the business. In doing so I always present a positive, approachable, and can-do attitude. As well am also willing to partake in the necessary training procedures required that will allow me to demonstrate a hard-working mentality and maturity.

  • I began working at PAKN'SAVE in the early new year, February 18th. I was a part of a small team working nightshifts. starting from 8:30 pm and finishing at 7 am During these hours the would restock the entire PAK N SAVE store with products from the backroom up until closing. I later switched my shift times to later afternoons up until my resignation. These times took place from 1 pm to 10 pm.

Throughout my time working for this company I developed some key skills:

  • Self-motivated, with a strong sense of personal responsibility.
  • Developed and maintained courteous and effective working relationships.
  • Participated in team projects, demonstrating an ability to work collaboratively and effectively.
  • Skilled at working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • I had the opportunity to be a part of F45 Pakuranga as part of a University project. I was given access to the F45 facility as a student-coach where I was able to establish great communication skills, develop positive team-bonding skills, maintain a habit of constant organization skills and develop effective understanding of my tasks and roles during my time with the establishment.

Throughout this experience I applied and developed in some key areas:

  • Greeted customers and offered them assistance.
  • Handled customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Responded to guest requests for assistance, toiletries, and personal care items.
  • Developed and maintained relationships with community organizations and agencies.

  • During my Gateway programme at Ormiston Senior College I had the opportunity to coach sporting activities and run P.E classes for young students at Ormiston Junior College. This involved time management as in gathering equipment and setting up before sessions were in action, having clear communication and being able to answer any questions or concerns brought my way.

Throughout my time learning about fitness I developed some crucial coach assets that would benefit my ability to coach/ train individuals or a group setting:

  • Collaborated with other coaches to create and execute game plans.
  • Utilized positive communication to encourage a group of 20+ youth and promote integrity and respect.
  • Managed and maintained school equipment and facility grounds.
  • Taught physical education classes covering exercise strategies, sports, and safety.

Growing up I have always been passionate about sports, especially football and rugby. It was always a dream of mine to either play or work with this industry as it's always been a standout interest.

Being in a world where we technically live on social media it has always sparked an interest in me to start and maintain an online presence when it comes to fitness, these platforms are Instagram, TikTok. Facebook etc.
