Sam Moncur

This role, which was for the National Māori Addiction Centre, involved communicating with stakeholders through email and social media, producing quarterly reports, graphic design collaborating on research, coordinating project deliverables, and providing support to the rest of team.

Highlights of this job included:

• Co-ordinating and organising five national conferences, including a parliamentary summit
• Supporting the development of a Māori AOD Workforce Action Plan for 2024–2029
• Fostering relationships with AOD services throughout Aotearoa.

Have been on the committee since 2019 and President since October 2022. This has lead to involvement in fundraising and advocacy activities, such as the development of the strategic plan and a significant donation towards the Childrens' Playground.

Worked in this role throughout university. Responsibilities included:

• Creating credit contracts for customers using in-store finance
• Building relationships with repeat customers shopping for school uniform items

Worked under the Administrative Vice President to propose and write policies, including the Clubs Complaints and Sexual Misconduct Policy, and Accountability Policy.
